Jezera

Jezera is a place on a southeast side of Murter, the island which is bridged to the mainland. It is situated 28 kilometers west of Šibenik. Jezera today still looks like a typical Dalmatian fishing village.
It was probably due to mean soil that Jezera became one of the largest fishing centres in Central Dalmatia. In case you would like to have fresh fish, you can buy it directly from the fishermen at dusk.
Accommodation can be found in apartments, rooms, aparthotel Say and tourist village Lovišća. Jezera also has a modern marina of ACY system with 220 mooring places. In summertime is also organized a sailing school.
The first settlers came to Jezera in 1298, because they had been attracted by a well-hidden bay. Jezera was named after large pools of water which flow into the valley during autumn and wintertime and look like real lakes.
