Island Krapanj is the lowest inhabited island in the world. It is only 1.5 meter high, and less than 300 meters away from the mainland. It is an picturesque island with narrow alleys and stone houses. St Križ monastery with church from 16th century – the monastery keeps a lot of valuable pieces, the most important of which are The last dinner of Christ (16th century) and Black Madonna on a throne (rennaisance). The library of the monastery keeps an example of a Bible from 15th century. The part of the monastery is also a small museum that contains a collection of sponges, amforas, corals and antic dishes.
