Basic information about Pirovac

Pirovac is a tourist settlement situated on a north coast of a Pirovac bay, a natural phenomenon which is 10 kilometers cut in the mainland. Distance of Pirovac to Šibenik is 23 kilometers. The place has a typical Mediterrenian appearance, with narrow alleys and stone houses. It is well known for its beautiful beaches and bays, medical mud and kilometers of pedestrian and bike lanes. As far the accommodation is concerned, the tourists can choose between private apartments accommodation as well as hotel Miran with villas, bungalows, camping places and all additional facilities.

Pirovac is mentioned for the first time in year 1298 under the name Zlosela. In that time it belonged to dukes of Šubić, and later it becomes the property of Šibenik bishop and aristocrats. The settlement Pirovac arised in 15th century by immigration of refugees in front of invasion of Turks.
