Basic information about Vodice

Vodice Vodice is a modern tourist town situated in a wide bay 11 kilometers northwest from Šibenik. It is one of the biggest tourist destinations on Adriatic. It is well known for good and various offer of private and hotel accommodation, events and entertainment. In the centre of Vodice is situated a big marina with all additional facilities.

Vodice is an ideal place for a dinamic and eventful vacations. Vodice is mentioned for the first time in year 1402, although it originates from Roman times as a settlement called Arausa. Current name is given because it was a source of water which the inhabitants were giving to nearby settlements.

Hill Okit with church Gospe od Karmela – has a beautiful view on a whole area

Aquarium and a museum of sailor tradition – contains aquarium, old fishermen tools, ship layouts, objects found on maritime archeologic sites
