Basic information about Zablaće

Zablaće is a little place situated on a coast near to hotel resort Solaris. The distance to Šibenik is less than 7 kilometers. Zablaće stands between the fort of St Nicholas, an entrerance to Šibenik channel on north and is is connected to Solaris on south side. In medieval times Zablaće was well known for its salt pans, and citizens of Šibenik were buying salt for their own needs as well as for trading. The salt pans were located on a two small lakes, also called muds, and the smaller one is also famous for its mud, which is medically proven to cure reuma.
